Kingston

Kingston is a small town, which is located on the River Thames. Like many of the historical towns of the area, it has a strong history with an establishment and heavy growth during the Anglo-Saxon period. Due to that, it has become a bustling riverside town, with beautiful scenery around the area.

The University also has its traditional student-owned Students' Unions; an easy and cheap place to relax between lectures or in the evening, although there is no lack of pubs found in the centre of Kingston itself. If you want to earn some spending money while studying, then the University will help you get a job either inside the University or in one of the many businesses found all over town.

Of course, if there's really something that you'd like but can't find in Kingston, then fortunately the town is situated conveniently close to London, which is a great solution considering the sheer number of general and niche shops, arguably unrivalled when compared with all of the other cities of the UK. Those who prefer a quieter, more peaceful and scenic place to live alongside a more low-key lifestyle will not need to leave the town of Kingston, except for exploring the beautiful countryside around the town.

Travelling

Despite being a small town, its proximity to London means that arriving from another country is easy – from London, the train to Kingston takes just quarter of an hour. For the rest of the UK, Kingston has a rail service which connects to several English cities, as well as a road infrastructure providing easy access from all over the country.
